This study analyzed a series of primary RPS patients to describe rate and reasons of primary inoperability at a large referral center. Roughly, 10% of patients who presented with localized primary RPS at a large referral institution were not resected. Main reasons for not offering surgery were poor performance status/old age or encasement of the superior mesenteric vessels.
