Winan van Houdt is a sarcoma surgeon and surgical oncologist at The Netherland Cancer Institute/Antoni van Leeuwenhoek hospital in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Previously, he did an international fellowship focusing on sarcoma in Toronto and Milan and also worked as a sarcoma surgeon in the Royal Marsden Hospital, London.
He has a special interest in surgery for limb and trunk, retroperitoneal and intra-abdominal sarcoma. He is involved in several (international) research projects for sarcoma en desmoid tumors.
He is a member of the Transatlantic RPS Working Group and part of the board of the Connective Tissue Oncology Society and the Soft Tissue and Bone Sarcoma Group, EORTC as a young oncologist.
